And the Oscar Goes to.....

You! For taking the time to check out this post - congrats!!

If you’re a movie buff, such as myself, awards season may be those events you look forward to every year to see who the big winners are from the years most recognized films. Let’s not forget about the red carpet and all the gorgeous looks!

Though I’m always up for a viewing party, this year was a little more exciting for many reasons. The representation throughout the films nominated has been like no other and feel last year was a great year for so many films. I found myself going to movies more times than I have in past years.

So thinking about throwing a last minute get together and watch it all happen? Here are some simple, easy -to - whip up ideas to host the perfect, intimate Oscar’s viewing party!

Get your Freddie on with some Pearhemian Rhapsody aka any pear drink of your liking.

The Oscar’s are long, so make sure to take frequent leg & food/drink breaks! Even Bowie knows what’s up.

Don’t forget to have your ballot to cast your votes who’ll win each category and/or who you’re rooting for!

Need your own ballots? I created these with the main categories of the evening. Print them out and enjoy!

Add a fun garland to add some flair to the viewing area. Also can’t go wrong with flowers throughout your home!

And there you have it! Some easy ideas if you’re still wanting to throw a last minute viewing party.

I’m personally rooting for Rami Malek to win Best Actor for an incredible performance in Bohemian Rhapsody, Roma for all the categories including Yalitza Aparicio for Best Actress & Alfonso Cuaron for Best Director - such a great movie! Of course “Shallow” for Best Song - gives me chills every time.

Let me know what you have planned and who your favorite contenders are for this year!
